Outstanding Carved Wooden Sun Sculpture

Beautiful sculpture of the sun trimmed in Rattan and having a Rattan Handle.

This is a lovely item from the Philippines. My husband and I disagree - he thinks it is the moon, I think that it is the sun. This piece is carved from a solid piece of wood. Unlike many items, the back is not carved out as can be seen in the picture above. This lovely item measures 13 inches in diameter and about 2.50 inches front to back. Here are a few more images:
