Outstanding Wood and Bone Turtle made by the Muslims in Mindanao.

This is a lovely older piece which one does not get to see that often. It is a turtle made of bone and wood. It measures 3 3/8 inches tail to head, 1 5/8 inches wide and is about 1 inch tall. The pattern carved on the bone is similar to that on some scrimshaw. Here is one more picture of this outstanding turtle.
