This book is in very good condition. There is some minor edge wear. There is some minor corner Bumping. There is a little fading on the spine as well as the upper part of the boards. The binding is tight with no loose or missing pages.

If Lars-Eric Lindblad had lived in the year 1000, he probably would have set foot on the North American continent before Leif Ericson. Or, turning eastward, he might have reached China before Marco Polo.
The Viking wanderlust is dominant in his genes. Although he loves his home in rural Connecticut, he spends little time there. He is almost constantly on the move, taking travelers as intrepid as himself to the ends of the earth. He will undoubtedly be the first to take well-heeled tourists into outer space, where they can enjoy a cosmic view of our "Small Blue Planet."
To me the name Lindblad has become synonymous with adventure. Ever since I met Lars-Eric, twenty years ago, after I had shown my film of the Galapagos at an Audubon banquet, my life has not been the same. Sharing the same Viking instincts, I was soon helping him to scout some of the wild places that few people had seen.
I have lost count of all the Lindblad cruises and expeditions in which I have participated. Perhaps forty; fifteen of these to the Antarctic, usually as a guest lecturer. But on my first cruise I was grandly listed as "Expedition Leader." Our ship was the Navarino, chartered from the Chilean navy for cruises in the Antarctic.
